Shia LaBeouf gets arrested in New Orleans for getting violent during Mardi Gras celebrations, and a bizarre video of the actor has surfaced from before him was taken by authorities.
The altercation took place outside a Royal Street business and the New Orleans Police Department has issued an official statement explaining the situation.
“At approximately 12:45am on February 17, 2026, NOPD officers were called to the 1400 block of Royal Street in response to a simple battery where two victims (two adult males), reported being assaulted,” they began to outlets.
“Investigators say a man identified as 39-year-old Shia LaBeouf was reportedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive…,” it went on, explaining that a staff member attempted to remove him from the building.
However, Shia continued to strike the victim with closed fists a number of times and left briefly but then returned to be even more aggressive than before.
“Multiple people attempted to hold him down- he was eventually let up in hopes that he would leave- but he reportedly again struck the same victim with closed fists to the victim’s upper body. LaBeouf then reportedly assaulted another person-punching him in the nose,” the report continued.
Moreover, a clip of Shia being contained has been released by TMZ, in which the Transformers actor was getting beat up by men as he was shirtless and struggled to get up.
Notably, the father-of-one was then taken to the hospital to treat his injuries and soon after charged and arrested with two counts of simple battery.
