Rosie O'Donnell candidly voiced her view on why she feels the energy in America is frightening.
For those unfamiliar, the talk show host relocated to Dublin, Ireland, last year with youngest child, 13-year-old Clay.
The decision was due to her frustration at Donald Trump being re-elected as US president.
The 63-year-old actress recently returned to New York City for a brief break after a year.
The veteran comedian, while speaking on SiriusXM's Cuomo Mornings, candidly shared how she feels to be back home.
"I was in New York for the last two weeks, and I have to tell you, it feels like a very different country, a very different place to me.”
She claimed she had experienced a more balanced feeling when she was in other countries and the US felt "scary".
She said she emigrated to save herself, her child and her sanity and has no regrets about leaving.
Moreover, she marked, "I'm in a place where celebrity worship does not exist. I've been in a place where there's more balance to the news.”
She referred to the greed of people in the US trying to get more, more, more, stating that, “It's a very different culture.”
Continuing that the “United States is in a completely different way than I ever had before I left."
The artist raised concern, saying, "There's a feeling that something is really wrong, and nobody is doing anything about it."
"My son is having his first child. So we're very excited to be home," she noted.
It is pertinent to mention that the former View presenter, due to security concerns, had earlier avoided her return to the US.
