Cheryl Hines is stepping up to defend her husband Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, against the media’s perception of him.
The environmental lawyer’s wife reminded listeners and viewers of his positive contributions to the world, and questioning if a man with sinister motives would do such a thing.
In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the comedian was joined by the Curb Your Enthusiasm actress when she brought up her husband.
“When people talk about Bobby and they want to paint him as somebody who is trying to hurt people… it’s like look at his career and who he is and what he’s accomplished," Cheryl stated.
The 60-year-old then listed off his efforts, such as suing corporations responsible for polluting waterways, which caused health issues such as cancer among individuals.
“So why would he spend all of his life fighting for people, fighting for individuals, and then suddenly change and want to hurt people?” she said, adding “It just doesn’t track.”
Although Cheryl has defended her husband, a number of Surgeons General and doctors have spoken out against RFK Jr., calling him the one responsible for a low morale and misinformation.
Notably, last fall Donald Trump and the conspiracy theorist had linked Tylenol consumption to childhood autism which received widespread backlash from medical professionals.
