Charli xcx remarks Kylie Jenner’s acting debut as 'effortless'

Charli xcx candidly recounted on how they shot Kylie Jenner regarding her acting debut in the A24 satire The Moment.

The 28-year-old media personality is the one who plays herself in the movie based on the cultural hit of Charli in Brat.

On February 3, Charli at a special Q&A, highly praised the performance of the reality star.

“I think with the Kylie scene, it was so fun,” she marked, adding, “because it really was so easy and effortless and she really, like, played with it, did her thing.”

The Official hitmaker observed that the production was framed by stars acting as themselves, with Rachel Sennott shooting the opening scene and Jenner shooting the closing one.

The critics have shared the same enthusiasm of Charli as Vulture critic Jason P. Frank referred to the scene of Jenner as being “expertly-executed.”

Frank stated that Jenner is “legitimately fantastic,” as he punched She is never too knowing, playing this version of herself without a hint of irony, even as she delivers clearly ridiculous lines.”

The film marked the first time of the 33-year-old crooner to have a major leading role.

Moreover, Charli acknowledged her experience in the industry made her prepare to play having a slightly different version of herself.

The Moment is now in limited release, and expands to wide on February 6.
