Kelly Clarkson is preparing to close the chapter on The Kelly Clarkson Show, confirming that the current season will be its last after a seven-year run on daytime television.
The Grammy-winning singer and former American Idol winner shared the news with fans and reflected on what the transition means for her personal and professional life.
In a heartfelt announcement on social media, Clarkson explained that stepping away from the demanding daily schedule was a difficult decision but one made with family in mind.
As per Page Six, she said the change will give her much-needed flexibility to spend more time with her two children, daughter River Rose and son Remington, without the intense pace of hosting a daily talk show.
Moreover, Clarkson’s decision follows a challenging period that included caring for her family during her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s illness and his passing in 2025.
Despite ending the talk show, she emphasized that this isn’t a farewell to her creative career; she plans to continue making music, pursue performance opportunities and remain open to special television appearances, including potentially on The Voice.
Since its 2019 debut, The Kelly Clarkson Show has earned widespread acclaim, winning multiple Daytime Emmy Awards and attracting a loyal audience with its mix of celebrity interviews, human-interest stories and Clarkson’s signature musical segments.
