Jon Stewart is addressing his name being mentioned in the Epstein files, by cracking a few jokes about the situation.

The comedian had been named in an email from August 29, 2015 in which the now-deceased child sex offender pitched the idea to producer Barry Josephson of an exclusive stand-up routine to the disgraced Woody Allen.

In response, Josephson had written at the time "Make a true biographical experience with his stand up being the capper. somebody like Jon Stewart could host/narrate the biographical part, or Woody voice over."

This was all addressed by Jon himself in the latest episode of The Daily Show, in which he responded to the mention.

"Excuse me? I am offended. Somebody like Jon Stewart? Or Jon Stewart?" the producer reacted in a mock exaggerated manner.

"Do I have the offer, or is this an audition?" Jon asked with more feigned anger at the consideration and not the surety.

Notably, Woody and Epstein’s friendship came to light after images of them spending time together came into the limelight from a previous release of the extensive files.
