Bradley Cooper and Matthew McConaughey are starring in Uber Eats’ headline commercial for Super Bowl LX, airing February 8 during the NFL championship game on NBC.
The campaign builds on a recurring theme from last year, a tongue-in-cheek “Football Is For Food” conspiracy in which McConaughey’s character insists that the sport was invented to sell snacks and meals, while Cooper plays the ardent sceptic pushing back against that theory.
Also featured in the ad is Parker Posey, adding comic flair to the back-and-forth between the two movie stars.
According to Daily Mail, the spot is part of a broader Uber Eats strategy that combines traditional broadcast advertising with a digital twist.
For the first time, users can “build their own Super Bowl commercial” inside the Uber Eats app, selecting from a range of celebrity cameos and scenes to craft personalized versions of the ad with more than 1,000 possible combinations.
Moreover, the big-game commercial is Uber Eats’ sixth consecutive Super Bowl effort, underscoring how brands increasingly tap high-profile talent and innovative formats to stand out during one of the most watched television events of the year.
Celebrities beyond Cooper, McConaughey, and Posey available in the custom ad experience include internet personalities and sports figures such as Addison Rae, Tramell Tillman, Sauce Gardner, and NFL legend Jerry Rice.
