Steven Spielberg has officially become an EGOT winner after receiving his first ever Grammy at the ceremony on February 1.

The Jaws filmmaker received the award in the Best Music Film category for producing Music by John Williams, making him the holder of a Grammy, Tony, Oscar and Emmy four of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry.

In an interview with People on the red carpet for the event, fellow EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson congratulated the 79-year-old for joining her after she achieved her status in 2022.

“I love that Steven Spielberg, he got it today, which is amazing. The company that we’re in with all the EGOTs is insane because he won today, so I’m celebrating that as well,” Jennifer stated.

The interviewer then asked the Black Nativity actress if she had any advice to welcome Steven into the coveted club.

“How in the world can I welcome Steven Spielberg? He is the EGOT, and I’m like, wow, that cannot be overlooked. That is a major celebration,” she replied.

Notably, the Schindler's List director expressed gratitude over the achievement saying that the win meant the world to him and calling it deeply meaningful.
