Martha Stewart has slammed rumours she’s had plastic surgery, insisting she’s “the most honest person on earth.”
The 84-year-old lifestyle queen told People she’s baffled that people won’t take her word for it.
“Everybody insists that I've had plastic surgery and I have not ever had plastic surgery,” she said.
“How can they not take my word for it? That's the truth.”
Martha did, however, reveal she once needed cosmetic repair but only after a bizarre dog-related accident.
The star recounted how, one snowy night, she leaned down to kiss her French bulldogs goodbye, startling one who sent her head crashing into her tooth.
Blood gushed from a split lip almost up to her nose, forcing her to miss a rare appearance.
“I get to the hospital and I think they did 16 stitches in my lip. I can't call that plastic surgery, that is a repair.
It's the only time I've ever had a plastic surgeon touch my face,” she explained.
On a brighter note, Martha’s business empire is expanding in unexpected ways.
For the unversed, she’s now a minority owner of Welsh football club Swansea City, joining the ranks of her friends Snoop Dogg and Luka Modric.
The club’s ownership welcomed her warmly, praising her legendary homemaking career and expressing excitement about her new role.
