Kim Kardashian confesses to using Britney Spears to boost fame

Kim Kardashian has left fans surprised with a shocking confession about Britney Spears.

The 44-year-old reality TV star disclosed that he once “scammed” the paparazzi in a cheeky bid to fast-track her fame by pretending to visit Britney.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians star lifted the lid on the stunt during an appearance on sister Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé In Wonderland podcast, admitting she was desperate to be famous in the early days.

Kim revealed that while dining out in New York with her long-time pal Jonathan Cheban, she overheard chatter that pop princess Britney was staying at a nearby hotel.

At the time, the SKIMS founder wasn’t being followed by the paps and could barely hail a taxi. 

But luck struck when a fellow diner offered them a lift in his flashy Phantom Rolls-Royce.

Sensing an opportunity, Kim and Jonathan asked to be dropped at Britney’s hotel.

As they stepped out of the luxury car, paparazzi immediately assumed she was there to visit the Toxic singer.

“They were shouting, ‘Kim, Kim — are you here to see Britney?’” Kim recalled, adding Jonathan urged her to keep her head down and stay silent.

The pair hid inside the hotel for around 20 minutes, reportedly lurking in a phone booth before making a dramatic exit. 

The photographers were still waiting and eagerly snapped away, convinced Kanye West's ex-wife had just spent time with Britney.

The gamble paid off as Kim’s photos splashed across magazine covers, and she knew she’d cracked the celebrity code.

The mum of four also shared that Jonathan later schooled her in paparazzi tactics even encouraging her to stop smiling and channel Victoria Beckham’s famously serious expression.
