Louis Tomlinson recalled hilarious encounter he had with Taylor Swift fans, which helped him promoting his new album for free.
The One Direction alum has released third studio album How Did I Get Here? three years after his second album.
In an appearance at the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Walls crooner revealed that he accidentally got the Fate of Ophelia hitmaker’s fans excited with Easter eggs for his new record.
According to him, he "felt really comfortable" making the LP and "enjoyed doing the promo" which was a new thing for him.
Explaining how it happened, the Two of Us singer recalled that leading up to the first single Lemonade, he provided fans with Easter eggs, which got Swifties in the mix.
Tomlinson said that the clues "confused" Lover fans "thinking somehow it was related to her album. So I got free promo."
Elsewhere in the interview, the father of one also looked back on his One Direction days.
He said that, "every memory, every moment" in the band was "incredibly special," adding that going solo after five years of being in a band was "quite intimidating."
Following the album release, Tomlinson is set to kick off his How Did We Get Here? World tour.
It will commence on March 23 in Hamburg, Germany and conclude on June 3 Vancouver, Canada.
