Justin Baldoni's rare text messages involving Blake Lively, Britney Spears surface

In the escalating legal dispute between actress Blake Lively and actor-director Justin Baldoni, a cache of private text messages has shed new light on the simmering tensions between the stars and their circle of allies. 

The exchanges, made public in court filings this week, show Lively and close friend Taylor Swift using blunt language to describe Baldoni as the lawsuit intensifies ahead of a planned trial later this year.

Included in the newly released messages is a December 2024 text from Swift to Lively in which the singer refers to Baldoni using an expletive while reacting to news about him, prompting Lively to vent her frustrations about the ongoing conflict. 

According to Daily Mail, the candid communications are part of a broader set of unsealed documents that also include earlier remarks from April 2023, where Lively allegedly described Baldoni as “a clown” and “doofus director” in messages to Swift.

Moreover, the legal battle began in December 2024 after Lively filed a formal complaint accusing Baldoni and his production company of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment during the making of It Ends With Us. 

Baldoni has denied the allegations and previously countersued for defamation, though his countersuit was dismissed.

Lawyers for both sides are preparing arguments for rulings on key legal motions in New York federal court.
