Reality TV star and Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel has opened up about a shocking health scare.
The 55-year-old Real Housewives of New York alum revealed that she has stage two chronic kidney disease.
She shared the news in a candid social media video on Thursday, urging fans to take their health seriously.
Bethenny explained that her kidney troubles were first flagged during routine blood tests.
“Each time, my kidney function was coming up low,” she said.
Despite initial reluctance, she attended an appointment with a kidney specialist, who confirmed mild damage and advised lifestyle changes to protect her health.
The star revealed she must now drink at least 1.5 litres of water daily, calling hydration her “medicine.”
She was also warned to avoid ibuprofen, Aleve, and Advil, though Tylenol is allowed.
Bethenny joked about restrictions on turmeric while enjoying ice cream, highlighting her candid, down-to-earth approach to sharing the news.
Bethenny also opened up about living with low blood pressure and POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), a condition causing dizziness and fatigue when standing.
“Maybe this is something I have to deal with forever,” she admitted.
She urged followers to be proactive about their own health: “Go get all your blood work done, be thorough, and follow up on anything unusual. It could save you.”
The mother-of-one, who shares 15-year-old daughter Bryn with ex-husband Jason Hoppy, ended on a heartfelt note: “Many of you will understand, which is why I’m sharing, because you guys are part-time doctors, and I love you.”
