Taylor Swift’s bombshell texts to Blake Lively in regards to her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni have been uncovered in new court documents and contain a direct nod to her song Cancelled!.

The Ruin The Friendship singer’s text to the Gossip Girl alum and a look back at the track indicates that she stands steadfast in support of her friends through their controversies.

In one of the messages, the 14-time Grammy winner had called the It Ends With Us director a “bitch [who] knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.”

Meanwhile in the song she sang, "Did you make a joke only a man could?/ Were you just too smug for your own good? / Or bring a tiny violin to a knife fight? /Baby, that all ends tonight.”

The parallel was not lost on Taylor’s fans, who took to X to dish on the “tiny violin” mention and to support their favourite singer.

One fan wrote, “Justin Baldoni is a bitch. Siri, play Cancelled by Taylor Swift,” as another remarked, “stream cancelled! by taylor swift to celebrate abuser justin baldoni's downfall.”

Why are Taylor Swift and Blake Lively no longer friends?

Taylor and Blake’s friendship is reportedly strained because of the legal turmoil and chaos caused by the It Ends With Us controversy.
