Dolly Parton recently launched a new version of her 1977 song, Light of a Clear Blue Morning.
This time song featured renowned vocalists including, Lainey Wilson, Miley Cyrus, Queen Latifah & Reba.
On January 19, the American singer, actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman hit eight decades of her life, however, couldn't make it to her birthday celebration at the Grand Ole Opry.
The celebration would have marked the fourth anniversary to the veteran crooner this year but she skipped the celebration due to health reasons.
Notably, the home state, Tennessee, has given the songwriter her own day, with January 19 being declared as the queen of country music birthday present, and it was one of the most uncommon and valuable ones of her fans.
Bill Lee, who is the Governor of the state, wished her big day in a heartfelt statement.
The 66-year-old began with, “Dolly Parton’s life and career is woven into Tennessee’s music, culture, and rich history. Her talent and generosity have made a lasting impact on the world.”
He added that the Backwoods Barbie's 80th birthday was the best opportunity that the state of Tennessee can pay tribute to a life of accomplishments and unselfish services.
Lee went on to mention her dedication to improve the lives of others exemplified the values of the Volunteer State and serve as an inspiration to the people of state and worldwide.
It is to mention that the songstress was born in 1946, in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Till now her career spanned over six decades and fifty albums.
