Mark Ruffalo turned the Golden Globes 2026 red carpet into a moment of protest as he delivered one of the strongest political statements of the night.
The 58-year-old actor openly attacked President Donald Trump and speaked out over the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Goode by an ICE agent.
The Marvel star arrived wearing protest pins reading “BE GOOD” and “ICE OUT”, making his message clear before he even spoke.
Ruffalo said his appearance at the awards ceremony was dedicated to Goode, a 37-year-old writer and mother who was shot earlier this month during a large federal immigration operation in the Twin Cities.
She was sitting in her car after dropping her youngest child at school when the shooting happened.
Speaking to USA Today on the red carpet, the Hulk star said Goode’s death should be described as a killing, not an accident.
He then turned his anger towards Trump, accusing the president of leading the country without respect for international law or basic moral standards.
“He’s the worst human being,” Ruffalo said, adding that Americans should be deeply worried if the country’s moral direction depends on Trump’s judgement.
He warned that giving global power to a leader he believes lacks ethics puts both the US and the wider world at risk.
The 13 Going on 30 actor said his comments were meant to show support for communities he believes are living in fear under current immigration policies.
He claimed many people now feel unsafe and cut off from the values they once believed defined America.
