Will Arnett has joked that he fully expects to lose out on a Golden Globe, to none other than his ex-wife, Amy Poehler.
The Lego Batman star revealed the playful moment while chatting to The Hollywood Reporter about his new movie Is This Thing On?.
As awards buzz swirls around the podcast category, the 55-year-old actor shared a text he received from Amy, who launched her podcast Good Hang in March 2025.
“Congrats. Let’s party,” she wrote, before cheekily adding, “I don’t have Bateman’s number, but that’s for the best,” a reference to Will’s SmartLess co-host Jason Bateman.
Arrested Development star couldn’t help but laugh as he read it out.
The former couple, who first met in the 1990s after Will watched Amy perform with an improv group in New York, are now going head-to-head for the Golden Globe.
They’re up against major names including Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, The Mel Robbins Podcast and Up First.
For the unversed, Will and Amy married in 2003 and share two sons, Archie, 17, and Abel, 15.
Although they split in 2012 and finalised their divorce in 2016, they remain close and have built what he proudly calls a strong co-parenting partnership.
Speaking warmly about the 54-year-old actress, Will praised her as “an incredible mum” and said he regularly turns to her for advice on both life and work.
“She’s awesome,” he said. “I feel really lucky to have her as a partner in this way.”
