Demi Lovato has finally jumped on the bandwagon as she revived her peak 2016 era after a decade, revisiting the past.
The 33-year-old singer dropped her first album Don’t Forget in 2008 which topped charts after its debut.
In 2026, Demi has slipped back in to her 2016-self as she shared a video lip-syncing to a remix version of Solo from What Is Love? She also made sure to use the viral filter for it.
Although the song dropped in 2018, it is heavily associated with late 2010s, sending fans down memory lane. The singer penned down on the video: “Happy 2016.”
One of her followers was of the opinion that the songstress might be wanting to “relive 2016.”
The official account of Spotify commented on the update: “2016 called.” Although the musician joined others in the trend, it might also point towards something coming up this year.
Recently, Charlie Puth shared a similar video with the popular Rio De Janeiro filter, lip syncing to his song Attention.
What started as a mere trend at the dawn of 2026 now appears to be an official beginning of 2016 which takes people a decade back.
Demi recently released her new album It’s Not That Deep on October 24, 2025.
