John Mulaney has announced that he is cancelling three of his shows in Minneapolis, after the shocking ICE shooting took place.

The comedian, who is currently on the Mister Whatever tour and was scheduled to perform in the city on three consecutive days, took to his social media to provide his fans with his reasoning and context behind the move.

In a statement on Instagram, the 43-year-old began by addressing the residents of the city, adding "What's happening in your city is heartbreaking, I have to postpone shows in a town going through such awful challenges and such grief, because it feels unfair to the audience."

“Still, I don’t feel comfortable asking thousands of people each night to leave their homes, gather at the venue, and then make their way home when the situation is still unsafe,” Mulaney wrote.

The Mulaney actor also disclosed that the shows were being rescheduled for April, and that he is sorry for all those disappointed by the decision.

Mulaney acknowledged those who hoped to lighten up at the shows but that he felt it wasn’t right to put them at risk at the time.

Notably, the happening that has shaken up Minneapolis and on a wider scale all of America, is the shooting of a 37-year-old mother, Renee Nicole Good, by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer.

Are John and Olivia still together?

Yes, Mulaney and Olivia Munn tied the knot in 2024, and are still together.
