Jennifer Lawrence has shared candid insights into how she approaches filming intimate scenes, explaining that working with co-stars she doesn’t already know can help ease her anxiety on set.

The 35-year-old made the remarks during a conversation about her latest film Die My Love, in which she stars opposite Robert Pattinson.

Lawrence, known for her performances in The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook, said she often gets nervous before starting work on a new project and prefers to tackle potentially awkward scenes early in the process, particularly when she doesn’t have an established relationship with her co-stars.

In her view, this unfamiliarity can make those scenes less uncomfortable than negotiating such moments with someone she already knows well.

According to People, the comments highlight the psychological challenges that can accompany filming scenes that require vulnerability, even for seasoned performers.

Lawrence acknowledged her pre-shoot anxiety and suggested that breaking the ice with difficult scenes up front helps the rest of the production flow more smoothly.

In Die My Love, directed by Lynne Ramsay, Lawrence and Pattinson portray a couple navigating complex emotional terrain, including intense intimate sequences.

Moreover, the film’s demanding subject matter emphasizes trust and professionalism between actors, and Lawrence’s reflections offer a glimpse into how performers manage comfort and artistic commitment in such settings.
