Johnny Knoxville has officially announced that the iconic Jackass franchise is storming back into cinemas this summer.
The news comes after Knoxville teased fans on Instagram with a cryptic, high-energy post shared alongside the official Jackass account and Gorilla Flicks, the production company founded by Jeff Tremaine.
“Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang… we will see you in theatres June 26th,” the caption read, leaving fans bouncing with excitement.
This latest installment arrives four years after Jackass Forever, which saw the 54-year-old actor face off with an angry bull, Danger Ehren swarmed by honey and a black bear, and Steve-O endure a bumblebee-on-genitals stunt.
The fourth film blended veteran pranksters with fresh faces like Zach Holmes and Rachel Wolfson, proving age is no barrier to chaos.
Bam Margera, however, appears unlikely to return, following his controversial exit from the last film.
Fans of the original cast may have to make do with Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius and the rest of the seasoned troublemakers.
As Variety’s Owen Gleiberman put it in 2022, these middle-aged daredevils are “fighting for their right to party” with the same psychotic, juvenile energy that made Jackass a cultural phenomenon.
If last time was anything to go by, audiences can expect pain, chaos, and laughs.
The Paramount Pictures confirms that Jackass 5 will hit theatres on June 26.
