Bruno Mars announced a huge musical surprise for 2026, nearly a decade after his third studio album 24K Magic broke records.
After teasing his fans with the update about completing his new music project, the 40-year-old singer announced his single ahead of album.
The Grammy winner turned to his X (Twitter) to share an update, writing: “New Music this Friday… The Romantic coming 2.27.”
Bruno will be releasing his first solo in ten years on January 10, 2026 while The Romantic will be available for streaming on February 27.
Fans were sent in to a frenzy as soon as the update was made live from his official account. Moreover, he gave the first look of the upcoming album’s cover featuring his mugshot sketch.
The picture, a monochromatic frame, might hint at an artistic touch in the new songs that will release next month.
Although his die-hard admirers celebrated the unexpected surprise, many revived the online debt joke that the musician featured after his famous collaborations with Lady Gaga and Rose.
In August 2024, the That’s What I Like crooner first released Die With a Smile with the Mayhem hitmaker which was crowned as one of the biggest hits of 2025.
This was followed by APT. featuring Rose from BLACKPINK in October 2024 that was based on a Korean game. The track broke several records and topped global charts on streaming platforms.
The two back to back projects sparked a speculation about Bruno owing $50 million to MGM Resorts due to gambling from Las Vegas Residency.
