Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal reveal their newborn 'ray of light'

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have officially introduced their newborn son to the world, sharing both his name and the first public glimpse nearly two months after his birth. 

The couple, who welcomed their baby on November 7, 2025, used Instagram on January 7, 2026, to unveil the child as Vihaan Kaushal, calling him their “ray of light” in a heartfelt post that quickly drew congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities.

In the photo shared on their accounts, the tiny hand of the newborn rests gently in his parents’ palms, a tender moment that reflects their joy and gratitude. 

The caption accompanying the image read: “Our Ray of Light. Vihaan Kaushal … Prayers are answered. Life is beautiful. Our world is changed in an instant. Gratitude beyond words.”

According to Bollywood Hungama, the name “Vihaan," of Sanskrit origin, means “dawn” or “new beginning,” symbolizing hope, a fresh start and the promise of a bright future for the couple’s first child.

Since the announcement, social media has buzzed with warm reactions, with actor Parineeti Chopra among those posting affectionate messages and heart emojis celebrating the happy news.

As per the outlet, Katrina and Vicky had kept details of their son’s name private until now, creating widespread anticipation among fans and media. 

Moreover, the pair first announced Katrina’s pregnancy in September 2025, describing it as an exciting new chapter in their lives.

The couple, who married in a private ceremony in December 2021, are now embracing parenthood with an outpouring of love from the film community and supporters worldwide.
