Jessie Buckley makes surprising revelation about her husband

Jessie Buckley, currently one of Hollywood’s most acclaimed performers, is continuing to keep her personal life firmly out of the spotlight, especially when it comes to her marriage. 

Although Buckley sparks widespread attention for her award-worthy roles, she has revealed that her husband’s identity remains largely anonymous by choice and he has never appeared with her on red carpets or at public premieres.

Buckley, who recently won Best Actress at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards for her role in Hamnet, confirmed that her husband, known only as “Freddie”, prioritizes privacy due to his own professional life. 

According to Daily Mail, the couple met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend and wed in a low-key ceremony at their Norfolk home in 2023. 

Buckley has intentionally kept details such as his surname and age out of the public domain, explaining that his anonymity is “crucial” given his career outside the entertainment industry.

Despite her rising fame and frequent awards-season buzz, Buckley has chosen not to bring Freddie to industry events or glamorous functions, underscoring a clear boundary she maintains between her professional and personal worlds.
