Sadie Sink teases major Spider-Man twist as fans go wild over mystery role

Sadie Sink is officially living every Marvel fan’s nightmare as she knows everything about Spider-Man: Brand New Day and can’t say a single word. 

And according to the Stranger Things star herself, it’s been nothing short of “torture”.

The 23-year-old actress has been spotted filming alongside Tom Holland, still sporting her trademark red hair, instantly sending the internet into meltdown. 

Fans are convinced that hair alone is a major clue, with theories flying that she could be playing anyone from X-Men favourite Jean Grey to Peter Parker’s daughter, Mayday. 

Meanwhile, others are betting on something darker.

Fuel was added to the fire last month when a grainy, allegedly leaked trailer began circulating online. 

In the shaky footage, Sink’s mystery character appears to threaten Spider-Man and shockingly claims to know Peter Parker’s true identity. 

One chilling line, reportedly spoken by Sink, warns: “Don’t get in my way. Otherwise, it won’t just be your friends who don’t remember who Peter Parker is.”

That has led to persistent rumours that she could be playing Shathra, a shapeshifting multiversal villain, though fans know Marvel loves a good misdirect.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Sink admitted keeping the secret has been agony. 

“It’s torture!” she laughed. 

“There’s so much speculation. I feel like there’s a new character every week.”

In a twist worthy of Marvel itself, she revealed that she first learned about her casting through online theories before Sony even called. 

“Two days later, they asked me to do it,” she said. “So yeah… sometimes there’s truth to the theories.”

Fresh from the emotional Stranger Things finale, she is stepping into her biggest mystery yet.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into cinemas this summer with secrets intact, for now.
