Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s legal battle has gotten its first explosive update of 2026, ahead of the trial in March.
The duo, who co-starred in It Ends With Us, became involved in a loaded lawsuit after the Green Lantern actesss accused the director of sexual harassment and received a countersuit for defamation which has now been dismissed.
In now-unsealed texts from the time the pair was filming the Colleen Hoover adaptation, the Clouds director appears to be agitated with the 38-year-old over the creative decisions she made.
As per the messages sent from Baldoni to Danny Greenberg, his former agent at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME), on December 30th 2023 the actor explained why he had a “really bad week.”
The reason was apparently Lively refusing to use a body double and the Five Feet Apart director felt like she was just setting him up and also insisted that he use a body double as well.
Baldoni added that the Gossip Girl alum wanted to “keep all of both of our clothes on for the big love scene,” which he claimed was “just ridiculous if you know the book.”
“The whole thing is just a gigantic cluster f**k and yet I’m doing my best to stay positive, although it’s been very draining on me and time-consuming over this break to be dealing with an actress who is rewriting the writer and Director,” the 41-year-old wrote in the texts.
The Jane the Virgin alum also alleged that he was agreeing with 95% of Lively’s demands just to keep the peace but the entire experience was brutal nevertheless.
