Amanda Seyfried has left fans scratching their heads after reacting to Timothée Chalamet’s gushing message to Kylie Jenner at the Critics Choice Awards.
The 30-year-old actor, who scooped Best Actor for his role in Marty Supreme on Sunday, paid a heartfelt tribute to The Kardashians star, saying: “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
But Amanda seemed puzzled, taking to Instagram to comment: “OH not like a foundation/charity I was curious about that.”
Fans were quick to note her bemusement at the unusual phrasing.
The 40-year-old actress, known for The Housemaid alongside Sydney Sweeney, also opened up about the challenges she faced early in her career.
She admitted experiencing friction with some older performers, calling it “disappointing” and “hurtful” at a time when she was just trying to find her footing in Hollywood.
Now, Mean Girls actress makes it a point to support younger stars.
“I’m the first person who will be in someone’s corner, especially if they’re like, ‘What do I do?’ And I love that,” she said.
She also shared her protective instincts over co-star Sydney, explaining, “The second I met her, I was like, ‘I’ll do anything for you.’”
Jennifer's Body star added that while she still has to fight for some roles, her career opportunities have grown significantly over the years.
This is something she says makes her “damn straight… happy.”
