Dove Cameron message to ex-lover goes viral after engagement

Dove Cameron and Damiano David, after dating each other for two years, were love birds as they posed in their engagement announcement.

The 29-year-old actress was all smiles as she showed off the bling on her hand while the Italian singer planted a kiss on her forehead.

However, an old video of the Disney star went viral which had an interesting message to her former lover.

The Descendants star lip synced to her own song, singing: “Hello, my old lover! I hope you never read this letter…Cause I know it’s gonna make you cry.”

The video garnered 1.2 million views with fans flooding the comment section, expressing their excitement and support for the star.

Although the song released long before her engagement was officially announced, the video circulated recently as it started with the lyric that read: “Turns out I’m easy to love.”

While fans speculated that the track was released for someone in particular, the songstress never revealed who was the subject of the song.

The actress was romantically linked with Thomas Doherty before her relationship with the musician. Although much details were kept private, Dove admitted there was an imbalance in the relationship.

According to reports, she felt admiring him deeper than Thomas reciprocated.

On the other hand, she has always gushed about her beau Damiano in different interviews, describing the brewing romance as the healthiest bond she experienced yet.
