Jacob Elordi appeared to be taken aback by his major win at the Critics Choice Awards, but the Euphoria actor still managed to praise those he was most thankful to.
The actor won the award in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance as Frankenstein’s monster in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.
“Bloody hell. I really didn't plan for it,” the 28-year-old began after some nervous laughter as soon as he took the stage to deliver his acceptance speech and accept the major accolade.
Jacob then went on to name all the people who worked behind-the-scenes on the project such as Tamara Deverell (production designer), Kate Hawley (costume designer) and Mike Hill (prosthetics specialist) to credit them for their hard work
“You guys are geniuses. I couldn't walk around like this in front of a green screen. You guys made that world so thank you. Thank you, Guillermo… I love you. We all love you. You made my dreams when I was 11. I'm so happy to be here,” he added, before also ending his speech by thanking his parents.
Notably, Jacob’s win has sparked buzz online, with internet users speculating if he will also receive an Academy Award for the role.
Jacob has been accused about a radio prank gone wrong, in which he grabbed a reporter by the throat.
