Drew Taggart marries model Marianne Fonseca in sunset beach wedding

Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers and model-entrepreneur Marianne Fonseca have tied the knot in a romantic sunset beach wedding, the couple announced on social media Dec. 29. 

Their intimate ceremony, held on a scenic stretch of Costa Rica’s coastline, marked the culmination of more than two years together and came just over a year after Taggart’s surprise proposal.

In a joint Instagram video captioned “WE ARE MARRIED!”, the newlyweds were seen barefoot in the sand at sunset, dancing beside two horses before Fonseca leapt into Taggart’s arms. 

The heartfelt clip highlighted the couple’s preference for a meaningful ceremony over a larger, more traditional affair.

Taggart and Fonseca first met at an Oscars party in March 2023 and made their public debut as a couple later that spring. 

According to People, the DJ popped the question in Los Angeles in December 2024, surprising Fonseca with a five-carat diamond ring during what she thought would be a casual dinner with friends.

In interviews leading up to their wedding, Fonseca shared that the pair wanted a small, personal event focused on close loved ones. 

“I want it to feel very intimate, with just the people we truly love,” she said, underscoring their desire for a genuine and tender start to married life.

Furthermore, fans and fellow artists took to social media to congratulate the couple, celebrating the joyful milestone for the Grammy-winning DJ and his partner as they embark on this new chapter together.
