Stranger Things Volume 2 of Season 5 was widely criticised for weak writing, making fans feel it was unfinished and lacked depth.

However, the Duffer Brothers are not the one to be blamed because Netflix reportedly altered the volume with major changes.

According to a leaked document, the running time of the part was reduced by cutting off nearly two-hour long footage.

The source claimed plotlines and scenes removed from the instalment which included Will’s interaction with Vecna, making it shorter.

Moreover, a part focused on Mike and Eleven visiting Camazotz “to save Will” and the victim’s repressed emotions were edited out.

A WSQ radio scene between Mike and Will in the basement did not make it to the final cut. The duo were also planned to be teaming up with “Robin, Holly and Max at some point.”

This might have explained the closeness between Noah Schapp’s character and Saddie Sink’s Max.

Despite the theory going viral and calming the surge in criticism, Randy Havens, who play Mr. Clarke, debunked the rumours.

Did Netflix really cut out footage from Stranger Things?

He turned to Instagram to issue a statement, saying: “There’s no secret synder cut out of the show.”

Randy warned fans, writing: “Please don’t believe everything some random a** tells you on the internet.”

It is to be noted that his message to fans added fire to the fuel as many now blame the writers for not delivering in the finale.
