Former Nickelodeon child star Tylor Chase who recently went viral after being seen homeless, has finally been given a lifeline.
Chase, who played Martin Qwerly in Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide on 33 episodes from 2004–2007, reunited with Daniel Curtis Lee in an emotional hug caught on camera.
The 34-year-old actor, best known as Simon ‘Cookie’ Nelson-Cook, arranged for Chase to stay in a hotel over Christmas week, giving him a warm, safe place and a chance to catch his breath.
In an Instagram reel, the Evening Installation star explained how he reconnected the 36-year-old with his father over the phone, lifting the actor’s spirits.
“Love is all we can really give people some time, and I’m happy he was able to have that connection with his pops,” Lee said.
He also revealed discussions with Chase’s mother, who advised against handing him cash directly, prompting Lee to explore the possibility of a trust tied to rehab or other support.
Authorities in Riverside, California, confirmed they weren’t sure how long Chase had been living on the streets.
Officers regularly check in, offering shelter and support, though he had previously declined services.
It's worth noting that support has also come from another former child star, Shaun Weiss of The Mighty Ducks, and businessman Jake Harris, who helped get Chase into a hotel and put him in touch with friends encouraging treatment.
Lee expressed optimism: “I really believe we can get Tylor back on his feet… he’s on my heart often, on my mind often.”
Fans are anticipating that this Christmas, it seems Chase finally has a glimmer of hope.
