Vince Zampella, who laid the foundation of EA-owned Respawn Entertainment, breathed his last after his car crashed on Angeles Crest Highway.

The sad news was confirmed by multiple reports, however, a statement from the family is yet to be released.

A video from his last moment has come to light showing a fast-racing Ferrari hitting the concrete barrier which left the witnesses in shock.

The 55-year-old passed away in a single crash minutes after coming out of the tunnel.

According to investigations, the accident was reported at around 12:45 p.m. which was followed by the ejection of the driver who was stuck in fire.

After the death of the CEO, Infinity Ward’s official account expressed their sorrow on the devastating death of Venice.

The update noted how the late game developer “have a special place in our history,” appreciating his “legacy of creating iconic, lasting entertainment.”

The news saddened gamer fans as they gave their condolences to his family upon un-timely demise. One of the X users noted that he is the “reason Call of Duty became what it is.”

Another fan was extremely devastated, expressing their gratitude for “something so special” that kept them “hooked for 18 years” on the game.

The video game is considered as one of the most recognised franchise due to its “massive commercial success.”
