Joe Biden can appoint Former POTUS, Barack Obama to be US’s new American ambassador for the United Kingdom, as per The Sunday Times, an unknown source stated “I have heard there is a possibility that Obama could be asked as a thank-you”.
However, according to the reports by British Media, Obama’s appointment as American ambassador to UK would be humiliating for the Prime Minister of UK, Boris Johnson who gave hostile remarks about the former president.
In the year 2016, Boris wrote for The Sun in which he made remarks about the decision to remove bust of Winston Churchill from the oval office when Obama was elected as the president of US.
"Some said it was a snub to Britain. Some said it was a symbol of the part-Kenyan president's ancestral dislike of the British empire – of which Churchill had been such a fervent defender" Johnson said.
These judgments came after Johnson wished Biden on his victory against Trump in the election.
