Katy Perry's ex-husband slams Justin Trudeau

Katy Perry’s controversial ex-husband, Russell Brand has given his thoughts on the singer’s love life after their split.

At a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix on December 18, the father-of-three talked about Orlando Bloom and Justin Trudeau, comparing himself to his ex-wife’s recent partners while addressing the crowd.

“Look, Katy Perry, I was married to her. I love her still, and I’m glad that her mom’s in the room to hear me say this, but look.I was okay with Orlando Bloom, but Justin Trudeau?" he began.

"Come on, man! Don’t put me in a category with that guy! That globalist stooge,” Russell continued.

The Get Him to the Greek actor is known for his controversial takes and bold remarks, so his latest judgment is not completely out of character.

Russell and Katy were married from 2010 until 2012, with the former filing for divorce, and since then he has only said nice things about her.

Although the 50-year-old has since been married to author Laura Brand, the Dark Horse singer broke off her engagement from her on and off fiancé Orlando and has since moved on with the former Canadian Prime Minister.

Why did Orlando and Katy split?

Katy and Orlando’s split is speculated to be due to work pressure and something that was inevitably going to take place since they had been spending time apart a while before they announced the separation.
