American rock star Marilyn Manson has received good news regarding his legal case.
The musician was facing a sexuall assault lawsuit which ahs been dismissed.
The former assistant of the singer filed a lawsuit against him which included claims of sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination in May 2021.
Ashley Walters worked for the singer between 2010 and 2011, who filed charges in in 2021.
Later in 2022, another judge dismissed the lawsuit only to be reinstated again in 2023.
Now, Los Angeles County Judge Steve Cochran has ruled that the case would be dismissed for a second time.
On Tuesday, the decision was announced because the timeline falls outside of the statute of limitations.
“We have a situation where the complaint was not filed until about 10 years after the operative events. I'm not able to find that the delayed discovery rule is applicable”, the judge declared.
Marilyn, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, has not commented on the case. However, his lawyer Howard King told Rolling Stone that it is a “victory”.
