Jerry O'Connell remembers late Rob Reiner

American actor Jerry O'Connell has paid tribute to the late director Rob Reiner, who was found dead along with his wife Michele.

The When Harry Met Sally famed director was found lifeless by his daughter Romy in their Brentwood home.

The 51-year-old actor worked with the director on 1986 movie Stand By Me when he was just 11.

Speaking to People Magazine, Jerry said “We're all shocked. I can't speak for [co-stars Wil Wheaton and Corey Feldman], but for myself, I feel like a parent has passed, you know?”

Jerry expressed his grief saying it feels like he lost a parent.

“I just feel like a parent has passed.” the actor shared.

Remembering the late director, Jerry said “Everything I have in my life is because of Rob Reiner. Everything I have, my children, my wife, my, just everything…”

He added “Every professional experience I've had after Stand By Me, you sort of feel alone a little bit because Rob isn't there.”

As per reports the late couple was murdered by a relative who “slit” their throats with a knife.

The most recent update on the case reveals that the couple’s son Nick has been booked for murder in their deaths.
