Laura Woods has spoken about the impact years of stalking had on her mental health.
The ITV and TNT Sports presenter said she was left feeling “exposed” and “anxious” after a sustained campaign of harassment that began in 2021.
Woods told The Daily Telegraph the abuse came from a Liverpool fan, Harneet Kaur, who was later jailed for 14 months.
The campaign included online harassment and disturbing items being sent to Woods’ home, including sex*al health kits.
“For three years she would go to extreme lengths to make my life very uncomfortable,” Woods said.
She recalled receiving birthday cards with threatening messages and being sent monthly funeral letters after being signed up to services without her consent.
Woods also said animal welfare officers were sent to her home following false reports about her dog.
The harassment escalated further. She described a video posted by Kaur at a U.S. shooting range, which Woods said felt directly aimed at her.
“It was just too much,” she said.
The experience changed how she felt about living in London. At the time, Woods lived alone with her dog and said she no longer felt safe.
“I didn’t want to be there any longer,” she explained. The prolonged intimidation took a toll. “Suddenly I was extremely anxious and low,” Woods said.
