Jane Seymour gets candid on unsettling series mirroring

Jane Seymour has revealed that her latest Hallmark project mirrors her own love life.

The 74-year-old actress starred in Twelve Dates ’Til Christmas, based on Jenni Bayliss’ 2020 novel. It portrayed a widow who unexpectedly finds romance with Mac, a divorcee.

Speaking with People Magazine, Jane shared that she saw herself and the character’s journey resonating with her own experience.

The Live and Let Die star said, "I felt that when I read this. I went, 'Okay, I know who Evelyn is.' That dynamic about two older people finding one another is very much my story."

She added, "And the nervousness of — what is it? How do you deal with this? What do you do at this time in your life? It's something I know."

Notably, the veteran actress married four times prior to her meeting with her current boyfriend, John Zambetti who was introduced by their sons back in 2023.

She elaborated that she thinks that the Hallmark viewers are mostly in her age bracket. Noting that, “they're vicariously living through this. They're going, 'Oh my goodness, that could actually happen.'"

The actress went on to explain, "They know in real life, it actually has happened to me, and then they're even more kind of interested. 'Oh, I wonder what that would be like.'"

"I can relate to it differently. I've never lost anyone who died on me, but my partner, his wife died, so I can relate to it because I know what I see him go through."

Two episodes of Twelve Dates 'Til Christmas premiered each Friday starting from December 5, and concludes on December 19 on Hallmark.
