Meghan Markle had a year full of ups and downs and yet again she is ending the year on subliminally emotional note.
The duchess' father Thomas Markle, who she has been estranged from since 2018, underwent emergency surgery amid health scare.
Thomas had an emergency surgery which resulted in his leg being amputated in Philippines.
The news came out with the 81-year-old claiming he has not met his grandchildren and hopes to reconcile with daughter.
Since the revelation, Meghan has been criticised for ignoring her father’s situation and only focusing on her ventures.
TV host Mark Dolan has called for the duchess to take immediate action.
Speaking to Daily Express, he said “This is an 81-year-old man. He’s lonely; he’s in a foreign country thousands of miles away. He’s got his son, Thomas Markle Jr, but he’s got major issues, too.”
“When you’re dying, and your last hope is to meet your daughter, and you get some correspondence, I think that’s a real slap in the face.”, he added.
The royal expert said Meghan should develop “empathy” for her sick father.
