Tate McRae opens up about public scrutiny

Tate McRae, who received mainstream fame after her song, Greedy in late 2023 opened up about her struggles with popularity.

The Canadian singer, who started her career at the age of 13 broke up with her love interest, The Kid Laroi not too long ago.

Although the relationship is over, the 22-year-old still seems to be having a hard time, dealing with the public scrutiny, according to her recent statement.

You Broke Me First hit maker revealed in a conversation with The Rolling Stone that the past 12 months in the public’s eye have been really hard for her.

She stated, “I didn’t realise how much it would affect me, the public knowing my private life - because no one knows the full story of anything, ever.”

Tate further added,” "I also hate people painting a situation that’s worse than it is.”

The songstress also seemed to be on terms with the fact that the STAY crooner is going to write songs about his reality and she is also going to do that because that is their “job” and it is a form of “art”.

The dancer confessed, "I don’t even recognise that person. I feel I’ve aged 10 years in the past year."

This comes after Tate's latest launch, TIT FOR TAT, which received mixed reactions from and was blown out of proportions that it meant something it doesn't.
