Prince William is reportedly preparing to make a deeply meaningful move with Prince George, as the 12-year-old gets ready to follow both his father and late grandmother Princess Diana in supporting one of the Prince of Wales’s most personal causes: homelessness.

William is said to be planning to take George to Centrepoint, the London homelessness charity he has championed for two decades.

The visit would echo Diana’s famous decision to bring William to the same shelter when he was just 11, almost the exact age George is now.

A royal insider told the Daily Mail: "He talks to George, Charlotte and Louis about homelessness a lot. It's something he's incredibly passionate about."

The source added that William is “keen to take George to a homeless shelter soon to meet some of the brilliant people who inspired him to create Homewards, and the people who will ultimately be supported by it.”

This comes as William gets ready to mark his 20-year milestone with Centrepoint on Tuesday, where he’s set to receive a special cake from celebrity baker Juliet Sear, known for her iconic Bruce Bogtrotter cake in Netflix’s Matilda the Musical.

Centrepoint CEO Seyi Obakin OBE revealed that the organisation has curated a special photo collection celebrating William’s two decades of hands-on involvement.

He shared: "We've collected photos of him with young people in relaxed moments, some never seen publicly before."

The move comes as William pushes forward with Homewards, his ambitious five-year programme launched in 2023.

Backed by The Royal Foundation, the initiative aims to end homelessness across six regions: Aberdeen, Bournemouth/Christchurch/Poole, Lambeth, Newport, Northern Ireland and Sheffield, each receiving up to £500,000 in funding.

By 2028, William hopes these areas will be firmly on track to ensure “homelessness is rare, brief and unrepeated.”
