Rei Ami amused the award show audience with her unscripted pep talk as the Huntr/x trio won Hitmakers of the Year.
For the unversed, Rei Ami, 30, EJAE, 34, and Audrey Nuna, 26, are the voices for the fictional K-pop group HUNTR/X in the highly successful 2025 Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters.
The artists were honored with the coveted award, acknowledging the immense success of the movie's Golden soundtrack, at Variety's Hitmakers event on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
While receiving the award, Rei Ami left the crowd in laughter with a bold, self-directed pep talk on stage, saying, "Don’t cry, b*tch. Get it together,"
The singer and rapper, whose real name is Sarah Yeeun Lee, remarked on the trio’s work as "the perfect chance for the three of us. An opportunity to become friends and sisters for life."
The fictional group HUNTR/X track Golden broke several records. Including the K-pop girl group's song has reached No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 since 2001.
Further, the track became the fastest album by any Asian act streamed from an animated movie on Spotify, reaching three billion streams.
Notably, the movie broke the record for the most-watched animated film by Netflix.
Additionally, the song has three 2026 Grammy nominations for Song of the Year, Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song for Visual Media.
