Jack Osbourne opens up on healing after losing dad Ozzy

Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack has lifted his fans’ spirits by sharing joyful news that has brought some much-needed light to an otherwise difficult year.

The 40-year-old star has revealed that he and his wife Aree Gearhart are expecting their second child together. 

Jack, who was booted off I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Friday, shared that he and Aree told his late father, rock legend Ozzy, that he was going to be a grandad again shortly before his death in July at the age of 76.

Speaking to The Sun, he admitted the pregnancy has been “a healthy distraction” as he continues to grieve the loss of his dad. 

“It’s awesome,” he said. 

“It’s been partly healing — that full-cycle feeling, in a weird way. It’s pulled some energy away from the sadness and pushed it into hopefulness.”

Jack, who is already dad to Pearl, 13, Andy, 10, Minnie, seven, and Maple, three, joked that the journey has been “easy for me… a lot harder for my wife!”, adding the baby was “planned… just a bit earlier than expected.”

The TV star became emotional when speaking about Ozzy during his jungle stint, insisting the Black Sabbath icon would’ve been “proud” of how he handled the trials.
