Meghan Markle has reportedly reached out to her father who underwent a surgery in which his leg was amputated.
The duchess’ Thomas Markle was rushed to the hospital where he underwent a three-hour surgery later on Wednesday.
While the two have been estranged since she tied the knot with Prince Harry in 2018, it has been reported that she has reached out to him.
A spokesperson of the royal told People that Meghan has contacted her father.
“I can confirm she has reached out to her father,” the sources reported.
The source did not give any further details however it is believed that the mother-of-two reached out after he underwent the surgery after the health scare.
It was revealed that his leg from below the knee was removed to treat a blood clot.
The surgery was reported by Daily Mail who also revealed that the 81-year-old wishes to meet his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, as his only wish.
Meghan Markle was only 2 when her parents parted ways and later finalised their divorce in 1987.
Thomas was married to Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, who is still very close to the duchess and shares a good relationship with her son-in-law Prince Harry.
