Ellie Goulding fast-tracks new album as she prepares for baby no. 2

Ellie Goulding is fast-tracking her next album, and for the sweetest reason. 

The 38-year-old chart-topper, who’s expecting her second child with partner Beau Minniear, has decided to bring forward the release of her sixth studio record to early 2026.

Insiders say the Destiny singer is gearing up for one of the biggest years of her life.

A source told The Sun’s Bizarre column that the songstress is “moving things around” to fit her new reality as she prepares for motherhood again. 

“The album was meant to drop later next year, but with the baby coming, she’s pushed it forward,” the insider said. 

“It’s like another baby for her – she can’t wait for fans to hear it.”

The new tracks are said to follow the emotional, evolved sound Ellie showcased on her recent single Destiny, with her vocals “better than ever”. 

By releasing it before the baby arrives, Ellie hopes to enjoy a proper break afterwards, knowing the music is finally out in the world.

The Love Me Like You Do singer has also opened up about how working on the album helped her heal from the heartbreak of her split from ex-husband Caspar Jopling, with whom she shares her four-year-old son, Arthur. 

Speaking to NME, Ellie described the separation as a “grieving process”, admitting that music became her lifeline.
