William, Kate welcome German President, First Lady with symbolic act

Prince William and Princess Kate welcomed the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, former judge Elke Budenbender on their state visit to UK.

The German couple arrived in the country on December 3 marking a historic moment.

This is the beginning of the first German state visit to UK in 27 long years.

The Princess of Wales looked elegant in a dress she repurposed for the big day.

Kate was last seen wearing the blue Alexander McQueen coat and Juliette Millinery fascinator on 2023 Christmas Day.

That was the day right before Kate stepepd away from limelight to undergo her cancer treatment.

The future queen also gave a sweet nod to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana by wearing her earrings.

In addition, Kate Prince of Wales Feathers Brooch.

The royal couple is reported to play “key roles” in this visit which will end on December 5.

The princess’ blue outfit also resembled the one Queen Elizabeth II wore during her visit to Berlin in 2015.

Later on Wednesday, a state banquet is scheduled to be held at Windsor Castle.
