Madonna, who is very vocal about her political views, recently opened up as she called out the President of the USA, Donald Trump.

As the world marks AIDS day on December 1, to commemorate the day, the American singer also took to her Instagram as she opened up about how she has lost a “list” of loved ones to the horrendous disease.

She also bashed the president and his administration over the decision to not commemorate the day, as they have more important things to tackle.

The 67-year-old voiced, “Donald Trump has announced that World AIDS Day should no longer be acknowledged, It's one thing to order federal agents to refrain from commemorating this day, but to ask the public to pretend it never happened is ridiculous, it's absurd, it's unthinkable.”

Madonna emphasised that it is an important day for people to remember those, who have suffered HIV crisis, and we should support those, who are working hard to find the cure.

She further added, “I bet he's never watched his best friend die of AIDS, held their hand, and watched the blood drain from their face as they took their last breath at the age of 23."

Moreover, the songwriter concluded her speech by reminding and urging everyone to acknowledge the important day as there is still no cure and to not let the deaths of the loved ones go in vain.

For the unversed, this came after U.S. State Department deputy spokesperson, Tommy Pigott issued a statement to CNN that the government wouldn't be commemorating the international day to raise awareness as the administration is "working directly with foreign governments to save lives and increase their responsibility and burden sharing".
