If Chadwick Boseman were still here, fans would be celebrating his 49th birthday and the biggest honour he would be receiving as an actor.
Michael B. Jordan’s emotional speech on the special occasion of Chadwick’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony stood out the most and left the audience in tears.
Jordan attended the event only ten days ago, on November 20, when both he and Chadwick were honoured on the same day.
“That was special. I couldn't have planned it any better. Chad was a special person, and for him to be honoured and remembered the way he is, hearing people talk about him, makes me feel full and happy. To share this day with him really is special," Jordan said while paying respect to his late Black Panther co-star.
Chadwick was honoured with the 2,828th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after five years of his death in 2020.
The late actor's widow Simone Ledward-Boseman accepted the honour on his behalf and placed a pair of his shoes on the star to make his presence felt.
“Chad, today we recognize a lifetime of artistry… You lived with honour… We love you, we miss you, we thank you,” Simone said in her heartfelt speech.
Chadwick passed away on August 28, 2020 during his cinematic prime at the age of 43 suffering in quite from colon cancer.
