Dita Von Teese is dishing on her iconic feature in Taylor Swift’s music video and giving some behind-the-scenes insight into how the singer is like on set.
The ‘Queen of Burlesque’ joined the 14-time Grammy winner in a giant martini glass in the Bejeweled music video for a nod to the art form that the model has been credited with bringing back.
During a recent sit down chat on the A Little Bit Extra podcast with Sharyn Casey, the dancer opened up more about her experience.
Dita said that Taylor contacted her with background knowledge and awareness about the 53-year-old’s work, and was also very respectful.
"She said to me, 'I see people imitating you and I really want you to be alongside me in this video and I want us to be together.' And I just thought like, 'Whoa, nobody approaches like that.'” the business woman said of the music industry icon.
“They don't want to share the spotlight [but] she's not like that at all and you can see that that's clear in the video,” adding that Taylor was also quite savvy as a director.
Notably, Dita also said that the Midnights hit maker also made sure that she was comfortable and happy with her takes before moving forward.
Yes, Dita has extended her residency at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas up until the summer of 2026.
